The last day of the festival has arrived, but don’t be sad and instead make the best of it by watching great movies, meeting friends and simply having fun!

Morning yoga is on for the last time, as on the previous days, at the Cinema on the Slope at 10:00.

At 10:30 at the White Cinema, watch the tense thriller The Beasts directed by Rodrigo Sorogoyen. The story is based on the real experience of a Dutch couple in Galicia, while the film won as many as nine Goya Awards, among others for best film, director, screenplay, lead actor and supporting actor.

Alternatively, catch the screening of the Brazilian animated film The Boy and the World, at Circus Fellini at 11:00. From a child’s point of view and by means of imagination, director Alê Abreu portrays the problems of the modern world. The film won numerous awards, including the Grand Prix at the 25th Animafest Zagreb. Bring your little ones to an unforgettable movie experience that awaits you!

If you missed yesterday’s walk with the members of Croatian Mountaineering Society Petehovac Delnice, join them at 11:00 at the Cinema on the Slope.

The birds of prey return to the Cinema on the Slope at 12:30! Everything you wanted to know about them will be revealed to us by Vitold Košir – Ito, falconer and author of our festival award.

Once again, we’re watching the film Green Border of Polish director Agnieszka Holland, at the White Cinema at 13:00. Filmed in stark black-and-white, the film follows a family of refugees from Syria, an English teacher from Afghanistan, and border guards who meet in the no-man’s land between Poland and Belarus. The film premiered in Venice, where it won the Special Jury Prize, and became a big hit at the box office.

Today’s CDFG Campus presents five films from STIFF, the International Student Film Festival. STIFF is the first Croatian international festival dedicated exclusively to student and debut films. Screenings start at 13:30 at the Circus Fellini with films from Belgium, Poland and Croatia.

If you missed it on the second day of the festival, catch up with Animal by Greek director Sofija Exarchou, at 15:30 at the White Cinema. Set under the hot Greek sun, the film follows a group of animateurs at a seaside resort, highlighting the downside of tourism and workers’ conditions and it won the award for best acting at the Locarno Film Festival.

Lovers of music festivals can find salvation from the Gorski Kotar sun at the Circus Fellini, where Julien Temple’s Glastonbury is showing at 15:30. The documentary follows the evolution of the legendary music festival from its founding in 1970 to 2005. The film also features performances by iconic artists such as Alice Coltrane, David Bowie, Björk, Blur, Joe Strummer, Velvet Underground, New Order and Oasis. After the screening, head over to the CineChill zone for a Q&A with the director at 17:15.

Downtown, the film Blaga’s Lessons is showing at the Radnički dom cinema in Delnice at 16:30. It centres on a pensioner who becomes a victim of a phone scam and loses all her savings. But after receiving a tempting offer, things begin to change drastically. The drama directed by Stephan Komandarev won the FIPRESCI Award at last year’s Cinehill.

At 18:00 at the White Cinema, we are watching Tuesday, the feature debut of the award-winning Croatian writer and director based in London, Daina O. Pusić. The film follows Zora, ingeniously interpreted by Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who lives with her terminally ill daughter Tuesday. One day they are visited by Death in the form of a talking, shape-shifting macaw who loves hip hop and sarcasm. The screening of this magical-realist feature will be followed by a Q&A with the director.

The selection of Cinehill Shorts ends with a program block ‘In Your Skin’. We are watching five films that tackle emotions, personal experience, interpersonal relationships and memories on a high level, on at the Circus Fellini at 18:30.

At 19:00, rush over to the Viewpoint because it’s your last chance this year to taste the finest mountain brandies and wines bathed by the golden glow of the magic hour. Redeem a free coupon for a glass at the festival ticket office. Holders of ticket bundles and individual tickets have priority, after which entry is free until full capacity.

The screening of Fuse takes place at NK Željezničar Moravice. We watch the film in the presence of Bogdan Diklić, who appears in the film alongside Enis Bešlagić and Saša Petrović. Pjer Žalica’s debut film won the Silver Leopard in Locarno, awards for best debut film and best director at Sarajevo, and best feature at Raindance, the most important British independent film festival. The screening starts at 20:00.

The last bonfire of the festival season at Cinehill will be lit by Michelle Cabral and Julien Temple. Come to Krešo Golik Square at 20:35 to mark the start of the last evening program at Petehovac.

We conclude the film screenings at 21:00 at the Cinema on the Slope with Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person a comedy feature by Canadian director Ariane Louis-Seize. Her unusual and charming debut feature is in competition for Cinehill’s Propeller award this year. It is a hilarious horror romantic comedy about the young vampire Sasha, her moral doubts and teenager Paul, who is contemplating suicide. The film won four awards in Venice, including best director.

And so we get to the very end of the festival, with mega popular Croatian band LET3 prepared a real farewell party for us. It’s time to gather at the Krešo Golik Square at 23:30 and welcome the dawn with music and dance!
