After fleeing the war in Syria, Hanna and her younger brother Nader settle in a run-down neighbourhood in Istanbul. She spends her days learning nail art to earn a living, and her nights daydreaming about going to Europe. When she meets İbo, a Turk, one evening, Hanna finds herself torn between her own desires and her responsibilities to her brother. Inspired by her own experience growing up in an immigrant family in a Turkish border town, director Cansu Baydar explores the emotions of the forcibly displaced, their daily lives, their longings, and their struggle for a dignified life, under an ever-changing sky.
