Cinehill audience votes are in. Ivan Ramljak’s Peacemaker (Croatia, Factum, scriptwriters Drago Hedl and Hrvoje Zovko, producer Nenad Puhovski) finishes in first place. Out of 135 votes, 105 viewers gave it the highest rating, which earned it the final score to 4.64. Thus, on the heels of winning the Grand Golden Arena at the Pula Film Festival, the documentary feature about the murder of Josip Reihl Kir in 1991, once again confirms its exceptional value and social importance.
With the overall score of 4.63, The World’s Best Film Professor, the debut work of screenwriter, director and producer Vida Žagar (Croatia, Vern), was only 0.01 points “behind”, earning it a ‘silver with a golden glow’. The story of a beloved film professor who badly deceived and disappointed his students had its world premiere at Cinehill.
Among the films screening out of competition, Krešo Golik’s classic I Have Two Mothers and Two Fathers received a flattering 4.69, proving it has not lost any of its appeal even 57 years after its premiere. With members of the Golik family in attendance, the film was shown as a tribute to the fact that the festival is held in the birthplace of this great director.
