This week marks the end of the Zagreb – City of Film program, which has attracted a lot of interest in recent weeks. The program is concluding with two treats screened at their authentic filming locations. On Tuesday, 26 August, at Dolac Market, we will be showing the action spectacle Armour of God starring Jackie Chan . That film was shot right on the streets of Zagreb, and it’s known for its spectacular car chase scene right on Dolac. During the filming, Jackie Chan had a serious accident in Samobor. While filming a scene, he fell from a tree and broke a part of his skull, which required the team at Rebro Hospital to insert a piece of plastic in an emergency operation. The last film in this program will delight even the youngest viewers. We’re meeting on Thursday, 28 August, near the main stage in Maksimir Park, to watch one of the most imaginative domestic children’s films – My Grandpa Is an Alien. This original family sci-fi adventure follows 9-year-old Una, whose life is completely turned upside down when her grandfather gets abducted by aliens. Will she succeed in her rescue mission with the help of a small, grumpy robot?
