Regular deadline is 19 April, with special benefits for local and regional authors. The final deadline is 10 May.
Cinehill Film Festival opens its doors for short films from Croatia, the region, Europe, and the whole world – everyone is welcome to submit their works for the 28th edition of the festival that has been marching on with the same cinematic mission since the Motovun Film Festival.
Films can be fiction, documentary, or animated, and must meet the following criteria:
- Maximum runtime: 20 minutes
- World premiere after 1 January 2025
- Screening at Cinehill will be the film’s first public screening in Croatia
A three-member international jury will select the best film, and the winning director will receive a €2000 cash prize.
With the aim of promoting domestic and regional films and authors, Cinehill opens the opportunity for film submissions from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Slovenia, and Serbia free of charge until 19 April. Submissions are accepted through the Filmfreeway platform.
Cinehill will take place from 22 to 26 July, for the fourth time at its new locations in Gorski Kotar, with the central screenings taking place by the lakes in Fužine.
