A heartfelt comedy-drama set against the backdrop of the Brazilian countryside, the film follows Benjamin as he embarks on a quest for a wife, a stable home, and a fan, armed only with his birth certificate. The film’s evocative storytelling and strong performances earned it critical acclaim, including multiple awards at the Festival Paulínia de Cinema. It was Brazil’s submission for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 85th Academy Awards.
