Haunted by the threat of rising sea levels, Mira decides to dig up her father’s grave to move his remains to safer ground. In doing so, she defies tradition and her Muslim heritage, putting her into conflict with her family, the authorities, and her own conscience. Although driven by grief and loss, her journey becomes a search for healing, forgiveness, and new beginnings, for herself and for the planet. The film intertwines a personal crisis with global climate change, as nature, in its relentless transformation, becomes a force that pushes her toward the unthinkable act of disturbing her father’s final resting place.
