The Garden Sees Fire is a mystical stop-motion animation exploring cloaked identities, systemic traumas, and insatiable consumption through a surreal world-within-a-world shaped by hand-painted 16mm film, drawings, and armatured puppet animations. In this visually and audibly striking composition, chaos and precision comingle, creating a magically emotive transitory experience. Award-winning Luxembourgish-American animator Kiera Faber shapes all the aspects of her worlds on film – from idea to final image and sound. Her works have screened at festivals such as the Atlanta Film Festival, where in 2025 she won a Special Mention for Best Animated Short.
