In 1970s Greenland, resistance to Danish rule builds alongside fierce efforts to preserve its national identity. Progressive rock band Sumé finds itself at the very heart of events, their music in the Greenlandic language becoming the defiant sound of political change and cultural emancipation. Drawing on rich archival material, the film captures the charged moment when music ignited the awakening of a nation.
