A tiny sparrow spends its days looking at pictures of ostriches – up on the posters, in magazines, on his smartphone. Fascinated by their long necks, sparkling eyes and strong legs, it wants to be just like them. It goes to the gym to strengthen its legs, watches makeup tutorials and regularly visits a neck stretching studio. The charming animated film Ostrich is a touching and humorous story about self-acceptance and the limits of imitation. The film premiered at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival.
