Because of hijab, women in Iran give more importance to their faces. In Mask, a young girl unwillingly goes through a cosmetic surgery to please her boyfriend. However, his reaction leads her through a process of self-discovery, forcing her to take another deep look at herself. Mask was screened in Locarno in 2021.
