Cao Thị Hậu – an elder of the Rục people, born in a cave – now lives with her family in rural Vietnam. As she educates the younger generations, she teaches them the forgotten words of the endangered Rục language and the hard-won wisdom of her community’s way of life. Her days are strewn with memories of past times, dreams of her late mother, and lasting memories of the cave she once called home.
