After a mishap with a delivery for a local dealer, Nika gets an ultimatum that will take her and her friends on a dizzying night-time race against time with no boundaries. Frka follows a group of twenty-year-olds of different financial means living in Osijek. Nika is a waitress who desperately wants to help her parents out financially so she gets herself mixed up with the local dealer Petar, putting herself and several of her friends in danger. Our heroes – Nika, Luka, Sara and Voki – must collect the money from Petar’s debtors by the next morning, which turns their seemingly peaceful evening into a life-size drama as they race around Osijek. Frka is young director Svebor Mihael Jelić’s second feature, after his debut short Đaneri and the feature Zagreb Equinox, the most watched domestic film in Croatian cinemas in 2020.
