Faruk, the director’s 95-year-old father, becomes the protagonist in a narrative about the impending demolition of an Istanbul apartment building. In the hope of delaying the demolition of the building he has been living in for decades, Faruk regularly attends building management meetings. As the daughter films her father, the boundaries between reality and fiction begin to blur. This docu-fiction hybrid premiered in the Panorama section at the 2024 Berlinale, winning the FIPRESCI Prize.
