A touching short film set in La Cañada Real, Europe’s largest slum on the outskirts of Madrid, which has been without electricity for over a year. The 15-minute drama follows 13-year-old Toni, who learns that his best friend Nasser is leaving for France. Through the firelight and amidst Roma legends, Toni seeks ways to stay connected to his departing friend. The film premiered in the 2023 Short Film Competition in Cannes, won several Goya Awards and the Forqué Award for Best Short Film.
