The story follows Edouard who has been living in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, with his daughter Zara for five years, since his wife left for the United States. The only contact they’ve had is a cassette sent years ago. The film explores long-distance love and longing, as Edouard and Zara confront their past and future during an unexpected reunion. This film is part of Suffren’s trilogy that delves into the American dream from a Haitian perspective.
