Set on the day of the 1998 World Cup final between Brazil and France, we follow Erika Oguihara, a 14-year-old Japanese-Brazilian teenager who rejects her family’s traditions and is eager to celebrate a world title for her country. Amidst the tension that builds during the match, Erika’s experience of invisible violence leads her on a profound emotional journey. The film was selected for the Short Film Competition at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
