Set in a village near Chaozhou, China, the film follows a young boy who spends his summer with his grandfather, capturing the essence of his transition from childhood to adolescence. As the summer ends, he uses his savings to achieve his dream of getting a trendy city hairstyle, only to face the gap between expectation and reality. The film premiered at the Berlinale 2024 in the Generation Kplus section, where it won the Special Prize of the Generation Kplus International Jury for Best Short Film.
