The author recalls a childhood memory of her grandmother’s first signs of Alzheimer’s, but as the story progresses, it becomes apparent that all members of her family share a fear of forgetting the past – not just their personal, but also the historical, shared past. The film was shot with a “hybrid” camera, an invention of the director of photography Domen Martinčič combining a vintage large-format camera with a digital camera that records a projection inside the large-format camera, thus further highlighting the fact that film is inevitably a construct, a reconstruction of the author’s memory.
