The eleventh DHFA Campus once again gathers young film authors, students, aspiring filmmakers, and all fans of audiovisual creativity during several days of learning, creating, and socialising in a unique festival setting, in the enchanting town of Fužine.

We invite current and future film school students, young professionals, film critics, and anyone interested in filmmaking to apply for the DHFA Campus program – a place where young filmmakers from Croatia, the region, and the world can meet and connect.

The Motovun Campus is a unique educational platform that fosters the exchange of ideas and development of future film projects through lectures, workshops, discussions, and networking events, bringing together a new generation of filmmakers, students, and film enthusiasts. During lectures, talks with film professionals, screenings, and hands-on work, the participants have the opportunity to gain new knowledge, share experiences, and meet colleagues with a variety of interests and filmmaking backgrounds.

The focus of this year’s program is a hands-on music video production workshop, echoing the festival’s music program and practice of dancing in the forest. Over the course of several days, the participants will navigate the entire process of making a music video – from concept development and pre-production, to on-set shooting and final post-production. Through collaborative teamwork, they will explore various creative and production aspects of audiovisual storytelling, gaining invaluable experience in an environment that encourages experimentation, creativity, and cooperation. Alongside the workshop, the lectures and talks will delve into essential topics for emerging filmmakers, such as the relationship between music and film, the intersection of authorship and artificial intelligence in creative industries, and environmental sustainability in the film industry.

As always, a core component of the program features presentations of Croatian and international film schools, accompanied by screenings of student films. If you are considering enrolling in a film school or participating in a student exchange program, this is an opportunity to learn firsthand from the students themselves about the curricula and admission requirements of each of the schools, as well as their personal experiences.

The program also features the traditional Debate Club, where participants engage with film critics and theorists to discuss films from the festival lineup, alongside numerous other events that make the Campus a singular meeting point for emerging filmmakers.
