Wonderful Wednesday at Cinehill: Packed cinemas and smiling faces

Art kino

A great day at Cinehill is behind us. All of the screenings on Wednesday were full to the brim, with visitors pouring in from all sides at our cinemas in Fužine, as well as in Rijeka. It seems that the new festival location has won the hearts of our old, as well as and new, audiences.

The theatre as full at the morning screening of Italy’s Oscar contender, Vermiglio, at Golik Cinema, and there was no shortage of interest for the sharp Palestinian satire Thank You for Banking With Us, which screened after the short Apartment 2a.

At the same time, Cinehill visitors filled the Bauer Cinema for the evening screening of the Swedish-Kenyan feature The Dog, which screened alongside the short drama Test.

Great atmosphere prevailed in Rijeka as well, where Cinehill’s Maverick Award recipient, Jafar Panahi, participated in a Q&A. After the screening of his latest It Was Just an Accident at the packed Summer Art-kino, Panahi readily answered numerous questions from the very engaged audience in Rijeka.

We expect even more smiling faces during the rest of the festival, so see you there!
