26.7. FRIDAY 16:30 KINO RADNIČKI DOM, DELNICE
After losing his mother in the war, a boy named Mahito moves to the family estate in the countryside. A series of mysterious events leads him to an ancient tower inhabited by a grey heron. Mahito embarks on an epic adventure, following the heron into a fantastical world straddling life and death. The Boy and the Heron is the final film by the great Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki, co-founder of the renowned Studio Ghibli and creator of classics such as Princess Mononoke (1997) and Spirited Away (2001), the latter winning the Golden Bear in Berlin and the Oscar for Best Animated Feature. Critics have hailed it as the pinnacle of Miyazaki’s career, which also won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature.
