During the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, asthmatic grandmother Safa and her six-month-old granddaughter Jasmina are evacuated from besieged Sarajevo by humanitarian convoy to a peaceful Adriatic town. They move in next door to Stipe (Zijah Sokolović), a gruff alcoholic.
