Ten-year-old Jack and his six-year-old brother Manuel live in Berlin with their mother who often leaves Jack in charge of the household and his brother while she goes out partying. When the boys are suddenly left without a home for several days, Jack takes on responsibilities far beyond his years. Moving between social drama and road movie, Jack brought Berger his first festival successes and international visibility.
