In this self-ironic Cannes Queer Palm winner, a young director (Hannah Einbinder) is given the chance to helm a new instalment of the cult slasher franchise set at Camp Miasma. She tracks down the reclusive actress (Gillian Anderson) who played the lead in the original film and persuades her to collaborate. As they plan the sequel together, their mutual attraction turns into an obsession that blurs the line between fantasy and reality.
