It is 2002 in Afghanistan, just after the American invasion. Three young journalists embark on a two-month journey that will change them forever. Serge, a moralist and workaholic, Paolo, a cheerful photographer and visionary, and Claude, the accidental director. Shot with a camera bought on the spot, its footage lost for two decades, this extraordinary documentary combines the real tension of war with absurd, darkly humorous situations that surpass the typical framework of a war documentary. A fervent anti-militarist, Claude Baechtold subversively employs rock and pop music to comment on the horrors of war, wholly dismantling the established rules of war journalism in the process.
