Young American photographer Paul (Jérémie Galiana), in Paris meets Paulette (Marie Benati), an eccentric Frenchwoman obsessed with recreating the darkest moments of Parisian history. Their unusual connection evolves into a series of morbid games at the sites of real crimes – from the execution of Marie Antoinette to Hitler’s bathtub – while the boundaries between imagination and trauma, reality and fantasy become increasingly blurred.
