Croatian cinema lacks dialogues – primarily with its audiences. For decades now, Croatian films have rarely managed to get to larger audiences. Many stereotypes are often mentioned in this regard: Croatian films are boring and always dealing with despair and war; Croatian actors are theatrical and unconvincing; in short, Croatian films should be avoided.
What do Croatian filmmakers think about it and what do the viewers have to say? Our panel discussion will provide an opportunity for both sides to say their piece.
