On Wednesday, the music competition program \u201cMini-score\u201d took place for the second year running. The program fosters the creative work of Croatian composers, and as many as 66 composers accepted the challenge participating in this year\u2019s event. Last year the task was to write a score for a short documentary film, while this year\u2019s brief required writing the music for an animated film in development.<\/p>\n\n
\u201cIf you love both film and music, you\u2019re in the right place\u201d,<\/em> said program host Morana Zibar<\/strong> at the start, emphasising the importance of music in cinema since its earliest days<\/p>\n\n \u201cLast year we came up with the idea for Mini-score because we wanted to show filmmakers and producers in Croatia what we deeply believe \u2013 that there is an enormous wealth of musical talent in Croatia\u201d,<\/em> announced Milan Majerovi\u0107-Stilinovi\u0107<\/strong>, Head of Communications at the Copyright Protection Office of the Croatian Composers\u2019 Society (HDS ZAMP).<\/p>\n\n The jury selected a total of 18 finalists among the 87 submitted scores which were submitted for blind review. The audience had the opportunity to listen to the scores and rate them on a scale of 1 to 10. Renato Anti\u0107<\/strong> was voted as the winner, for his composition titled \u201cRoutine\u201d, receiving the Cinehill Mini-score 2026 Award and a cash prize of \u20ac1,500.
