Saturday 22 July<\/strong><\/p>\n\n Winery Vivoda, Rovinj<\/strong> \u2013 Winemaker Davor Vivoda<\/strong> has achieved exceptional success with his matured
\nMalvasia St. Euphemia, winning a gold medal two consecutive years at the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards in London. This same Malvasia St. Euphemia also boasts the rare title of the official wine of the city of Rovinj! It is also an excellent recommendation for his other wines: the fresh Malvasia, Teran Ros\u00e9, semi-sweet white Muscat, and of course aged Teran from the 2019 harvest, all of which we will taste on the first Motovun festival evening.<\/p>\n\n More at: https:\/\/www.vina-vivoda.hr\/index_en.html<\/a><\/p>\n\n Dragica Lukin is probably the most famous Croatian confectioner, while her p\u00e2tisserie Villa So\u0161i in
\nUmag is a cult spot where confectionary tradition and innovation meet. She is a member of the Croatian
\nCulinary Academy and president of the Croatian Association of Pastry Chefs, holder of the title of
\nInternational Culinary Knight. She has won hundreds of awards at world culinary competitions, and made
\nthe longest Istrian kro\u0161tula (24 metres) and the longest cake in Croatia (152 metres). In addition, she is a
\nversatile educator and teacher to younger generations. Dragica Lukin conquers the world with her sweets and her big heart, while in Motovun we will taste her sweet and savoury pastries, pies and rolls.<\/p>\n\n More at: https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/dragica.lukin<\/a><\/p>\n\n Sunday 23 July<\/strong><\/p>\n\n Winery Kadum<\/strong> from the village of Bui\u0107i near Pore\u010d is one of the newest Istrian wineries, but it took the
\nspotlight this year by winning the championship title for fresh Malvasia at this year\u2019s Vinistra. Ivan<\/strong>
\nKadum<\/strong> creates his wines with great love for the family winemaking tradition, but also in accordance with
\nthe latest scientific accomplishments and modern winemaking practices. We definitely recommend a visit
\nto the Kadum Winery in Bui\u0107i, where you can taste some rather rare wines, while in Motovun we\u2019ll be
\ntasting his champion young Malvasia from the 2022 harvest, followed by Cabernet Sauvignon and
\nRefosco ros\u00e9s, and young Teran from the 2022 harvest, which is quite rare in Istria today.<\/p>\n\n More at: https:\/\/www.kadumwines.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n Winery Mati\u0161ka<\/strong> from Nede\u0161\u0107ina in the municipality of Sveta Nedelja in eastern Istria has a history that
\nreads like a thrilling movie script. Imagine this: it is 1912, the Titanic is sinking, there are hundreds of
\npeople in the sea, the ship Carpathia arrives and starts rescuing the shipwrecked. Among the helpers is
\nMate Kir\u0161i\u0107, and many who survived that fateful night owe their lives to his helping hand. Awarded the
\nImperial Order, Mate Kir\u0161i\u0107 returns to his native Nede\u0161\u0107ina and plants his first vineyard in 1913. This is
\nhow the Mati\u0161ka Winery was created, today managed by Mate\u2019s great-grandson Bojan Kir\u0161i\u0107<\/strong>, and in
\nmemory of the brave saviours from Carpathia, we will taste fresh Malvasia, semi-sweet yellow Muscat,

\nbecause the family estate produces the most important delicacies for the Istrian table under the same roof
\nas the restaurant where these delicacies are offered. Led by the young Marko \u0160imonovi\u0107<\/strong>, next to the
\nkonoba \u2013 a traditional tavern offering Istrian cuisine and seafood specialties \u2013 the family runs a winery
\nand a prosciutto manufacture, whose products have won championship titles and gold medals at

\nhave something homemade, something that binds you to the genetic memory of tastes from childhood,
\nevoking emotions of a time your world was carefree, safe and young. Ombolo and sausages, sauerkraut,
\nstone baked dishes, these are some of the trademarks of the tavern Marino in Gra\u010di\u0161\u0107e, run by Svetlana
\nBuljan. Add to that the traditional mane\u0161tra (bean stew) for which the team of this tavern regularly takes
\nhome prizes, such as the one from the Istrian mane\u0161tra festival in Gra\u010di\u0161\u0107e in mid-June. For the Motovun
