Its main prize \u2013 Propeller of Motovun \u2013 is given to Best Film in the international competition of the main program. This year, the main program jury consists of film directors <strong>Andrea \u0160taka, Bojan Vuleti\u0107<\/strong> and <strong>Jure Pavlovi\u0107<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andrea \u0160taka is a Swiss director of Croatian origin, whose feature-length documentary <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Das_Fr%C3%A4ulein\"><em>Das Fr\u00e4ulein<\/em><\/a> won her Best Film awards in Locarno and Sarajevo. <strong><em>Mare<\/em><\/strong>, her third film, received acclaim last year. It follows a woman who puts her life to a test when a handsome stranger moves in near her. Marija \u0160kari\u010di\u0107 was awarded at Sarajevo Film Festival for the title role.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bojan Vuleti\u0107 is a Serbian film director and writer whose <em>Requiem for Mrs. J.<\/em> was one of the most awarded Serbian films in the past decade. He is also known by the TV series <strong><em>The Family<\/em><\/strong>, about the last three days preceding the arrest of Slobodan Milo\u0161evi\u0107. All the five episodes that caused commotion in the region will be shown in Motovun.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Croatian filmmaker Jure Pavlovi\u0107 scored a big success with his short film <em>Picnic<\/em>, which won him a European Film Award. His debutant feature-length film <strong><em>Matriarch<\/em><\/strong> also received a number of awards last year. It will be screened in Motovun this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The winner of Motovun Shorts program will be decided by the following jury: <strong>Sigrid Hadenius<\/strong>, producer of Uppsala Short Film Festival (Sweden), <strong>Katarina Re\u0161ek \u2013 Kukla<\/strong>, filmmaker and musician (Slovenia) and <strong>Jelena Paljan<\/strong>, screenwriter and editor (Croatia). The jury will also select Best Film by European Director, which will then be shortlisted for the European Film Awards. This year we will also present the newly established Corto Montonese award for Best Croatian Short Film.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FIPRESCI award is given by a three-member jury according to the rules of the International Federation of Film Critics. This year, its members are <strong>Hrvoje Puk\u0161ec<\/strong> from Croatia, <strong>Muanis Sinanovi\u0107<\/strong> from Slovenia and <strong>Igor Angelkov<\/strong> from North Macedonia.
