Once again, Motovun Shorts paves your way to European Film Awards<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motovun Film Festival is inviting\nsubmissions for the short-film program of its 2020 edition, taking place\nbetween 28 July and 1 August 2020. Submissions can be sent via FilmFreeway.com\nor ShortFilmDepot.com platforms and the deadline is 15 May. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligible for submission are the films of\nup to twenty minutes of running time that had their world premiere in 2019 or\n2020, provided they did not have their Croatian premiere. The programmer will\nselect twenty films to be shown as part of the festival\u2019s competition program\nMotovun Shorts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last\nyear, Motovun Film Festival became a partner of the European Film Academy\u2019s\nBest Short Film Award. This means that a European film from our program,\nselected by the festival jury, will be submitted as one of the 25 films\ncompeting for the \u201cEuropean Oscar\u201d, a prestigious award given to the best\nEuropean short film of the year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In our first participation in this\nEuropean Film Academy project, our awarded short film Reconstruction<\/em> (by Jiri Havli\u010dek and Ondrej\nNovak, Czech Republic) made it to the five films shortlisted for the EFA Award.\nWe can proudly claim that our festival contributed substantially to the\nEuropean visibility of the winner of our short-film program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of its efforts to\npromote national and regional films and authors, Motovun Film Festival waives the\nsubmission fees for the films from Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro,\nKosovo, Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motovun Film Festival does not accept submissions of feature-length films. Acceptance into this competition program is by invitation only. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
