20,000 Days On Earth is a film that records a period of 24 hours in the life of the intriguing Australian musician Nick Cave, tackling his career, artistic interests and personal life.<\/p>\n
\tThis documentary – the winner of prestigious awards at the 31st Sundance Film Festival – will have its Croatian premiere at Motovun Film Festival.<\/p>\n
\tIain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, the directors of the documentary about the legendary Australian musician, won the World Cinema Documentary Directing Award, while Jonathan Amos won Editing Award in the same category.<\/p>\n
\tThe film begins on the 20,000th day of Cave's life and follows him through that day. Drama and reality intertwine in this one day in the life of the global cultural icon. A sincere and intimate portrait of a musician, the film shows what is it that makes us what we are and celebrates the transforming power of a creative soul.<\/p>\n
\tAs usually, Motovun Film Festival's film program will be accompanied by a varied musical program. Pips, Chips & Videoclips, Kultur Shock and Damir Avdi\u0107 are but a few of the iconic performers who will keep you awake long into the night during the festival. So, rock until you drop!<\/p>\n
\tWe can safely say that Pips, Chips & Videoclips are the greats of Croatian rock: after twenty years on the stage, these masters of the British sound of the '90s – and masters of sound in general – are getting even bigger. As their latest album, Walt, won many acclaims, they are fully entitled to sing their hit song I Wish You Loved Me because everybody loves them. The Pips will be joining us in Motovun this summer.<\/p>\n
\tKultur Shock, a band that already thrilled the Motovun audience in 2011, is back again! Their style is impossible to define: they have been compared with Gogol Bordello, Manu Chao, The Pogues and alike, but nothing can prepare you for what awaits you at the concert of this energetic band from Seattle. When the well known dynamics and passion of their concerts combine with the energy of Motovun Film Festival itself, we're in for an unforgettable night of high-voltage fun.<\/p>\n
\tDamir Avdi\u0107 is a phenomenon of the regional music scene, a crucial poet and performer who tackles political and social issues. Radical and uncompromising, he dissects everything he considers to be wrong in the brutal capitalist society. Avdi\u0107 brings to his audience the painful, naked truth which hits you in the head and makes you think and take action. Since MFF and its audience have always had their attitude about the world around them, Damir Avdi\u0107 will perform at the 17th Motovun Film Festival.<\/p>\n
