Motovun Film Festival successor to take place 24 – 28 July at the Petehovac mountain resort and surrounding towns. The little worker bees are already en route to new locations.
Green is the color of harmony and nature, a soothing colour. That’s why Cinehill Festival – the successor of the Motovun Film Festival – is staying put in this beautiful setting. After last year’s successful edition, which was partly held in Gorski Kotar, this year’s festival will run entirety in this mountainous region, from 24 to 28 July.
The focal point of the festival will once again be the mountain resort at Petehovac, but this year the program will also expand to nearby locations in Delnice and surrounding municipalities, in order to spread the festival around the entire Gorski Kotar as much as possible.
Once again, the festival will showcase the best of independent cinema from around the world, with featured guests, an exciting music program, a whole series of accompanying artistic events, as well as outdoor and nature-loving activities. The novelty of this edition will be a series of writers presenting their latest works at Cinehill. The full program will be announced at the start of July.
The eagerly-awaited festival tickets will be available starting 15 June, primarily ticket packages at affordable prices, followed by single ticket offerings. Once again, the festival invites all the interested individuals who want to lend a hand in the organisation and functioning of the event by volunteering at the festival. The call for volunteers opens on 6 May!
The visuals of this year’s edition have been inspired by our motto Films in Nature. The worker bees who transport everything needed for the festival to take place in this unusual location – an environment where a mountain excursion blends with a top film and music program – symbolise the main idea of the festival, which is to create an oasis for film buffs and art lovers amid pristine nature. The concept for the visuals is the work of the creative agency Imago.
Everyone arriving at the festival will be able to book accommodation in Gorski Kotar, while more information about the ever-growing tourist offer of this region may be found on the website: gorskikotar.hr. For those wanting a more immersive experience in nature, the festival camp situated at an altitude of 1000 metres will once prove its worth.
