“I agree to act in the film, if there is a beautiful woman in it”, said 95-year-old Faruk to his daughter and the film’s director. This is how this story about aging and passion for life was born, a cheerful film about difficult topics. Faruku lives in Istanbul and they want to demolish his house where he has lived for decades. His daughter follows the community’s efforts to preserve it. The film won the FIPRESCI Award at the Berlinale.
