The Corruption Free award is again one of the festival awards this year, for the film that best deals with the problem of corruption, given in cooperation with Transparency International Croatia and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
This year's winner of the Corruption Free award is a Bulgarian film directed by Dmitar Mitovski, ‘Mission London’.
Bulgaria's most watched film in the last 20 years was made after the book by Alek Popov, who was a Bulgarian diplomat in the London mission for a while. The main protagonist is the newly appointed Bulgarian ambassador in London, who finds total chaos in the new workplace. The staff are engaged in various illegal activities, but not the preparation of the concert which to celebrate Bulgaria joining the EU, and which should be attended by the Queen, according to the express wishes of Ms Selianova, Bulgaria’s First Lady.
