Award-winning ceremony takes place at 9 pm tonight, with minor changes in screening schedules
On this final day of the festival, there will be a few changes in the night program due to technical reasons.
The winners of Motovun Film Festival will be announced at 9 pm in Cinema Trg. The ceremony will be followed by Rare Beasts, a film that starts as a romantic story but turns out to be an anti-romantic comedy after all.
Due to high interest for Florian Zeller’s Father with Anthony Hopkins in the lead role, we have organized an additional screening. The first one is in Cinema Billy at 9:15 pm and the second one – originally scheduled in Cinema Billy at 11 pm – will be shown in Hotel Roxanich at 9:30 pm.
The Night of the Winners, originally announced for Hotel Roxanich at 9:30 pm, will take place in Cinema Billy at 11 pm.
Those of you who have already bought the tickets for the rescheduled screenings are requested to notify us not later than by 3 pm – either with a message to ulaznice@motovunfilmfetival.com or personally at the festival box office – whether you want to watch the winning film in Cinema Billy or exchange your ticket for another film of your choice.
After the screenings, the closing event of the final night will be the concert of Porto Morto, currently the most exciting Croatian band. We’ll be dancing the night away with them.
In the afternoon, the final episode of the TV series Family will be shown in Cinema Billy at 1 pm. After the screening, at 2 pm in the Festival Garden, our programmer Jurica Pavičić will host a conversation with the author of the series Bojan Vuletić (who is also a member of the festival main jury)
Claudio Noce, the director of Paternostro, which screens in Cinema Bauer at 2 pm, tells us about a true story from his childhood. The program continues in Cinema Mak at 3 pm, where the film Tourism! will be tackling tourist industry as the last chance for Croatian economy.
The negative effects of tourism in Lisbon will be addressed in Earthquake Tourism in Cinema Bauer at 4:15 pm. Following this, in the same venue, Journey to the West will show us the adventures of a busload of Chinese tourists who want to visit six countries in ten days.
Motovun Shorts 4 will be taking place in Cinema Mak at 5 pm: Marko, Indigenous Police, Fluid Border, Bits, Anyhow, Anyway and Camille, Contactless.
A Corsican Summer, a film about the atmosphere in a Corsican village in August heat, screens in Cinema Bauer at 6 pm.
