For nine consecutive years, the second in a new magical location, the Cinehill Festival hosts the Campus DHFR workshop, alongside a rich film program and other diverse events. During five unforgettable days, 24 – 28 July, new friendships, collaborations, and the exchange of knowledge and experiences await you in the lush shade of the Gorski Kotar region.
We invite film school students and those who are about to become one, as well as young filmmakers and film lovers, to apply for participation in the Croatian Film Directors’ Guild Campus program. Once again, the interesting lectures, workshops and relaxed get-togethers will provide an opportunity to discuss important and useful topics, intended for everyone starting their filmmaking journey. In an environment removed from the methodology and space of institutional education, top domestic and foreign authors and film professionals will provide frank tips and first-hand knowledge on a wide variety of topics – from new technologies such as VR, to a return to the magic of analogue techniques, and from pitching workshops and script presentation exercises, to methodology of working with actors.
In addition to the workshop program, every day we’ll watch films produced by film schools from all over the world. The screenings will be accompanied by a presentation of these schools by the students themselves, who will provide their future colleagues with all the necessary information and guidelines for enrollment. Traditionally, the program is enriched by the popular debate club, where participants discuss films from the festival program. Join the film Campus family, which has already brought together more than 300 participants from 25 countries and more than 30 film schools. We are looking forward to our shared adventure in Gorski Kotar from 24 to 28 July 2024!
